at the St. Boniface General Hospital
in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada

At birth he weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz.
and was 20 inches long.

A: Mommy, is this the pinky? (holding out his left pinky)
M: Yes. We can pinky swear ... "I love you forever"

A: Mommy, what is love?
M: Love ... you know love.
A: No. what is love?
M: ... It is a feeling, an emotion, when you care for somebody very much.

A: Mommy, what are dates?
M: Huh?
A: Dates
M: You know, the days in the months
A: No! Dates!
M: .... Oh ... when people go out, they have fun... they eat or watch movies (I was so careful not knowing what to say cause he might stop wanting to go out!)

A: What are lovebirds?
M: Lovebirds? The white birds ... like pigeons ( :) ! )
A: No. Lovebirds. Like when bullies say you are lovebirds...
M: Oh... like mommy and daddy. Like those girlfriends and boyfriends like Kuya Patrick and Candice
A: Why?
M: Because they love each other...
A: Why?
M: Because they like being together... they love each other

We're so proud of you!!! We had our parent-teacher meeting tonight with Mrs. Shields and she shared with us how excellent you are doing in school. You're among the top in the class and a candidate for the alternative program for Grade 1. You showed us your journals and they are great! Mr. Rossi is so proud of you too. Mrs. Shields said his face lit up when she she got to your name during their meeting (they have to report about each of you and your classmates) and shared that you are really doing great. xxx oooo xxx ...

First Imax ... about the Rainforest. Of all days, the school bus got stuck somewhere and we had to rush to school on a taxi. You were so worried that you'll miss your field trip and I tried my best to believe too that you won't miss it. You made it there just in time :) ...
